Frequently Asked Questions

Meal Accomodations

We accommodate for special dietary needs as best as we can. If your child needs specific substitutes (i.e. milk), it is the parent’s responsibility to provide this to Firefly.

Absences & Vacations

If you know your child is going to be gone, please call/email and let us know as soon as possible. Vacation request forms can be found at the front desk.

Schedule Change Requests

If you need to add or drop any days to your child’s schedule, a Schedule Request Form can be found at the front desk. To drop days from your schedule we require a 2 week notice, effective on the 1st or 15th of the month. Adding days is effective as soon as the days are available. Withdrawals require a 30 day notice effective on the 1st of the month.

Cloth Diapers

Firefly fully supports and welcomes cloth diapering. Parent is responsible to provide enough clean cloth diapers for their child daily. Parent is responsible for cleaning soiled cloth diapers

Nursing

Firefly supports and encourages nursing throughout the day! Privacy for nursing can be accommodated.

Toys & Food From Home

Please leave all toys from home at home or in the car. Children often forget about them and they get lost or broken. Unless needed for a dietary need, please leave all food in the car or at home. We have some children with food allergies and we want to keep Firefly a safe space for all the kids!
